ABOUT US

The Fair Justice Foundation (FJF) was established to promote legislation associated with the collection of DNA from suspects arrested with a felony throughout the United States. The primary purpose was to populate the various data banks involved with the CODIS Project that compares various DNA sources with crimes committed.

In  2008 the Foundation added The Discovery Project.  The chief objective of the Discovery Project is to gather and disseminate information to diverse law enforcement agencies concerned with various crimes throughout the nation.  It is apparent in many cold cases that relevant leads were developed early in the investigation, but were lost, dropped or undeveloped with the passage of time and inadvertently forgotten.

Many times when solving cold cases, the main Investigators and detectives have moved up in their careers, changed positions or have retired; yet, they still recall a great deal of information  that has not been developed. The Discovery Project is trying to recruit these investigators and other professionals who are established in the law enforcement community. Subsequently, these individuals would provide information to their own agency or other agencies.

The Fair Justice Foundation will also forward to the various involved law enforcement agencies, tips from witnesses and experts pertinent to their cases.
It is the goal of the FJF to submit this information as a reminder or a "dart” to the various agencies involved.  The end result is to have even one of these darts hit the target and lead to the successful identification, arrest and conviction of these dangerous criminals, bringing relief and resolution to the families of the victims.
